ABB robot model explanation and composition

IRB type robot is the famous Swedish robot life manufacturer ABB company,IRB refers to ABB standard series of robots. IRB robots are often used for welding, brushing, handling and cutting. Commonly used models are: IRB 1400, IRB 2400, IRB 4400, IRB 6400. The model is explained as follows:
IRB stands for ABB robot.
The first digit (1,2,4,6) refers to the size of the robot.
The second digit (4) refers to the system belonging to S4 or S4C.
Whatever the model, the controls are basically the same.
IR 1400: Small bearing capacity, maximum bearing capacity of 5kg, often used for welding.
IRB 2400: Small bearing capacity, maximum bearing capacity of 7kg, often used for welding.
IRB 4400: Large bearing capacity, the maximum bearing capacity is 60kg. It is usually used for handling or welding in a large range.
IRB 6400: Large bearing capacity, the maximum bearing capacity is 200kg, often used for handling or large-scale welding.
The composition of ABB robot:
ABB robot is composed of two parts: manipulator and controller. The operator operates the robot through the controller.
The manipulator is a six-bar open chain mechanism composed of six rotating shafts. Theoretically, it can reach any point within the range of motion. The table lists the rotation range of each shaft. Each rotating shaft is equipped with a gear box, the manipulator movement accuracy can reach 0.05mm - 0.2mm. All six rotating shafts are driven by AC servo motors. The controller system is mainly composed of main computer board, robot computer board, fast hard disk, network communication computer, demonstrator, drive unit, communication unit and electric plate. The servo drive system is composed of transformer, main computer, shaft computer, drive board, serial port measurement and encoder. The position, speed and motor current are adjusted digitally, and the control of the motor is synchronized. The robot system continuously receives the robot's new data position from the serial measuring board, inputs the position regulator, compares and amplifies the previous position data, and outputs the new position and speed control.
