The NPort 5600-8-DT Device networking server is smaller than 19-inch rack mounted products and is especially suitable for applications where additional serial ports are required but rail mounting is not possible.
Simple design for RS-485 applications
NPort 5650-8-DT Device networking server provides 1 kΩ and 150 kΩ pull-up/pull-down resistors and 120 Ω terminal resistors. In some harsh environments, terminal resistors may be required to eliminate the reflection of the serial signal. When using the terminal resistor, the pull-up/pull-down resistor must be set correctly to avoid damage to the electronic signal. Since no resistance value is compatible with all environments, the NPort 5600-8-DT Device networking server is equipped with a DIP switch that allows users to manually adjust the terminal resistance and pull-down resistance of the serial port.
Easy to use power input
The NPort 5650-8-DT Device networking server provides power terminals and power sockets for greater convenience and flexibility. Users can connect the terminal directly to the DC power supply, or connect the adapter with a power socket to the AC circuit.
LED indicators simplify maintenance
The system, serial Tx/Rx, and Ethernet LED indicators (located in the RJ45 connector) provide practical basic maintenance tools to help engineers analyze field problems. The NPort 5600's LED lights not only show the current system and network status, but also help field engineers monitor the status of connected serial port devices.
