Both Euro404 and Euro408 are high specification motion controllers based on high-performance ARM11 processors with 4/8 flexible shaft ports and 4/8 voltage outputs. The flexible shaft port can be configured on the software shaft as a feedback device or pulse direction output. As an output, the shaft port can be used for stepper output or servo control, but also as an analog encoder output. When configured as feedback, the shaft port can be an incremental encoder input or one of the three commonly used absolute encoders SSI, Tamagawa, or Endat. Any feedback with a voltage output can constitute a closed-loop servo.
